Matthew Fortier
President and CEO

As President and CEO, Matthew Fortier is responsible for bringing together key public and private-sector stakeholders to organize and align Canada’s ZEV supply chain.

Mr. Fortier is a recognized public policy leader with over 20 years of experience building meaningful and progressive relationships with Canadian industry and government. He was Vice President of Policy and Public Affairs at the Institute of Corporate Directors, where he led content and strategy development on matters of public policy, legislation and regulation, including sustainability, climate change reporting and the future of work. Previously, Mr. Fortier was an executive at Re:Sound and directed policy option development and government relations strategies on Canadian intellectual property issues. He has also held senior corporate and public affairs roles at TD Bank, TD Securities and the Business Council of Canada.

Mr. Fortier began his career in Canadian federal politics as a policy analyst and researcher.

Moe Kabbara

Moe Kabbara is Senior Advisor at Accelerate and Vice President at The Transition Accelerator. Moe works at the intersection of technology, policy, and markets, supporting policymakers and business leaders on their most significant decarbonization initiatives. Moe brings close to a decade of experience in the areas of transportation electrification, ZEV supply chain, renewable energy, energy storage, and energy efficiency.

Previously he was Senior Consultant at Dunsky Energy + Climate and Senior Investment Attraction Officer for Canada’s automotive sector at the Department of Innovation, Science, and Economic Development Canada.

Bentley Allan, PhD
Senior Advisor

Allan Bentley

Bentley Allan, PhD, is Senior Advisor to Accelerate and the Resident Fellow for Green Industrial Policy at the Transition Accelerator. He is also Associate Professor of Political Science at Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Allan is an award-winning scholar who has written on the dynamics of international order, science and politics, climate policy, and the political economy of decarbonization. Dr. Allan co-leads the project Canada’s Future in a Net-Zero World which builds support for a green industrial strategy in Canada. The project identifies economic opportunities in the energy transition, co-develops industry roadmaps to accelerate action, and distills lessons for smart industrial policy from international case studies.

Carrie Croft, Temple Scott Associates
Strategic Communications Advisor

Carrie Croft is a Senior Consultant at Temple Scott Associations and a Strategic Communications Advisor for Accelerate.

Carrie provides strategic communications and government relations counsel. She specializes in developing and executing external communication strategies designed to raise visibility, influence target audiences and shape the public environment.
